24 Hour Race (Hong Kong) is a Volunteer of the beneficiary.

The 24 Hour Race is the largest youth movement in Asia. Since 2010, the 24 Hour Race has engaged more than 1,500,000 youths and raised more than HKD 7.5 million for anti-human trafficking causes.

This year’s beneficiaries for the Hong Kong 24 Hour Race is The Exodus Road

The Exodus Road’s main focus is on intervention in the form of rescue missions. This means freeing trafficked individuals through legal means with the help of the local police force and government. The reason for this is that they know their raids have more of an impact when they are supported by the law. They also aim to prosecute traffickers which acts as a deterrent to other traffickers - this leads to a knock on effect on the trafficking industry as an increased chance of conviction increases the danger of trafficking.

The Exodus Road’s Operation 24 (unique partnership with the 24 Hour Race) supports four strategic activities that are critical to rescuing survivors and making human trafficking more dangerous.  All funds raised to support Operation 24 will fund (1) training and equipping law enforcement; (2) identifying potential trafficking locations; (3) logging tireless hours of investigation to identify victims and obtain evidence for law enforcement;  (4) removing people out of human trafficking (survivors and traffickers).  By supporting these four activities, Operation 24 will impact the lives of hundreds of victims, and put traffickers and johns behind bars.

Operation 24 will remove at least 240 people, both victims and traffickers, from human trafficking around the world. 2-3 supporting objectives. 1. The Exodus Road will train and equip at least 24 national or local law enforcement officers who will rescue survivors and arrest traffickers. 2. The Exodus Road will investigate at least 2,400 locations believed to house victims and traffickers. 3. The Exodus Road will log at least 24,000 hours of investigations in an effort to support the rescue of victims and arrest traffickers.
